Our Family – “from New York to Philly to You!”

9th Street Catering founders, Rosa and Giavanni Agovino, sailed to America from Sarno, Italy in 1954.

From the hills of their tiny Southern town outside of Naples, to New York’s historic Ellis Island to their ultimate home in South Philadelphia, Rosa and Giavianni made their living and pursued their American Dream in the fine food business.

In 1993 Rosa and Giavianni’s son, Frank, took on the family tradition and has established 9th Street Catering as one the area’s finest and most flexible catering and event planning companies.

In 2004 Frank met Chris DiFabio of DiFabio’s Catering & Specialties of Media. DiFabio’s also boasted its roots in New York as Chris’s parents, Gloria and Carlo DiFabio, brought the authenticity of Brooklyn, New York to Delaware County.

The two companies merged their resources in 2004 to form DiFabio’s 9th Street Catering in Media, PA.
